Guidelines for participation

Since our walking groups are not supervised by psychologists or counselors, we use some guidelines to ensure a safe environment for all men.

We want to emphasize that we no judgement have about anyone's personal situation but these guidelines are only meant to ensure that we can offer our activities safely and qualitatively to you and other men.

Our community is NOT suitable for men who:

❌ Have an active addiction to alcohol, drugs or other narcotics.

❌ Experiencing severe psychological symptoms that require professional counseling or treatment.

❌ Not maintaining regular contact with friends or family members and therefore may lack social support.

❌ Verwachten dat Men’s Journey een vervanging biedt voor enige vorm van professionele geestelijke gezondheidszorg.

By signing up, you confirm that you have read these guidelines and that participation is appropriate for your situation.

If in doubt, feel free to contact us for consultation!

Standards of our Tribe

Authenticity

Be authentic and true to yourself. This is essential for self-discovery and showing vulnerability. Recognize your own bullshit.

Commitment

Show courage by being present even when the going gets tough. Keep your commitments and stay true to your values and identity.

Clarity

Encourage clarity in communication. If someone is unclear, ask questions. This ensures transparency and understanding within the group.

Unsolicited advice

We believe in the inner strength of every man to find his own solutions. Don’t offer unsolicited advice; always ask for permission before giving advice or asking a question.

Shared leadership

In our group, no one is the specific leader; we are all leaders. We embrace equality, and everyone’s voice is treated with respect.

No gossip

Speak directly to someone if you have an issue, rather than talking about them within or outside the group. This promotes direct communication and prevents gossip.

Don't judge

Only share your opinion when it is asked for. In all other cases, we listen without judgment, creating a space where everyone can feel vulnerable and authentic.

Safety

What is shared within the group stays within the group. We respect and safeguard each other's stories, secrets, and experiences.

Less ratio

We recognize that our heart provides essential insights. We aim to act less from our intellect and more from our heart.
